Robin Sánchez is the proud parent of Mateo, who plays in multiple ensembles. A deep appreciation for music—and a passion for supporting her son—keeps Robin actively involved with the band. She cherishes the band family—the students, parents, and directors—and finds joy in being part of such a supportive, connected community. With Mateo heading into his senior year, you may see her holding on just a little tighter.

Her advice to other parents? Get involved! You’ll make unforgettable memories with your kids—and friendships that last a lifetime.

This year will be bittersweet as Connie will complete 19 years with AEB. She has learned so much, made so many wonderful friends but most importantly made numerous unforgettable memories with all of her children. Her advice? Jump in with both feet!

Amy is mom to a drumline senior and a junior trombone player. The past three years as a band mom has truly been an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Amy hopes to continue to support the AEB by raising funds to enhance the already amazing program

Melanie is eager to get the boosters more recognition and support from the AEB community, but being mom to sophomore synth, tuba, and front ensemble/pit student Logan, is where her heart lies. Her “real” job as an event planner shares many traits with school organizations, plus her love of helping makes this a perfect fit!

Carin is a proud Mom to her sophomore trombone player, Jack! AEB is a family event, as you can also find her Husband Jeff driving one of the AEB trucks and on the side lines as Pit Crew! Joining the board was a no brainer, this has been a great way to stay involved and have fun with all the amazing families that make up Akins Eagle Band!

Senior drumline mom Lexie not only keeps our spirit wear organized and sells with a smile at home games, but also assists with scheduling and lining up volunteers for UT concessions to help offset band fees for participating students and parents.
